The FED

The FED. Founded in 1931, The Yorkshire and Humberside Federation of Museums and Galleries was one of the first regional federations to be established. It is the only dedicated membership organisation for people working in or for the benefit of Museums and Galleries in the region. It exists to represent, support and develop its members through regular meetings, newsletters, training, consultation and lobbying.

Working closely with Handshake Productions, Fallen Angel Designs helped design a functional website that met each criteria given by The Yorkshire and Humberside Federation of Museums and Galleries.

These requirements included a method for the site to be constantly updated without the need for a contracted web development team. The site also needed to incorporate a way for The FED’s members to join the site, and view member-only content.

With these goals in mind we were able to incorporate technologues such as PHP, MySQL, and the open source content management system Joomla, into the 2 month project.
